Molecular Biology overview
Molecular biology concerns with the study of biology at a molecular level. Molecular biology is a multidisciplinary field overlapping with genetics and biochemistry. It studies molecular interactions between DNA, RNA, protein, their biosynthesis and regulations.Genetic engineering, techniques of gene manipulation, is the core component of molecular biology. By definition, gene manipulation concerns the formation of new combinations of heritable material by the insertion of nucleic acid molecules into any vector (virus, bacterial plasmid and other cloning vehicles) so as to allow their incorporation into a host organism in which they do not naturally occur but in which they are capable of continued propagation.
