    Direct PCR from blood

Hey there, can someone help me with this. I want to detect bacteria in blood samples using PCR. But the problem is that I want to directly apply PCR on whole blood without DNA extraction. I have done PCR on plasma after its separation from whole blood to detect the bacteria but PCR is having a very low sensitivity with that.
Please, if any one has any suggestions to improve upon this please do respond.
