How long can I leave colonies on agar plates?

I plated out some bacteria containing my plasmid before the weekend, and have left them in the incubator for 4 days! Will they still be alright to use, or will they have lost the plasmid? Thanks

better to discard the plate. clony might not be single clony anymore and antibiotics may lost activity already.

It is ok to store it at 4oC. Wrap it with parafilm and you may use it until a month later. For longer storage use glycerol stock
