    ChIP

    Hi Everyone,

I will be doing Chromatin Immunoprecipitation (ChIP) and have a question regarding the PCR.

Can anyone tell me what does the final PCR bands indicates:
    a. Does they indicate the amount of IP'd protein on the promoter, or
    b. Does the PCR bands only indicate the amount of promoter (DNA) attached to my IP'd protein.

I was pretty much convinced with answer b. but yesterday got into some confusion. Any help will be appreciated.

Thank you very much in advance,

    Pak
