fwd: reverse transcription and RT-PCR problem

    Hi,
I have been working on revere transcription-PCR for quite some time now. Since I am working with very small amounts of tissue samples, I extract mRNA in a crude cell lysate which is subsequently used for RT. Upon doing PCR I get the desired PCR product. But the problem is that in the no RT control, I get the desired product as well with an additional band. I have tried to take care of the problem by using an increased DNase concentration...I lost the desired product in the No RT control but not this other band. Can anyone suggest anything?

    Estee
