low cooperation

Hi
I am doing in situ hybridazition by using P33 and oligoprobes. Unfortunately my cooperation values are so low under 40 %. I had some cooperation over 50%. But my last cooperation values are under 50%. Some people told me that tdt is very sensitive and can lost its function quickly. Do you think that it can be related with enzyme activity?
