Failure of DAPI staining

The tissue I stained is mouse nasal cavity. They were fixed in 10% formalin and decalcified in a Decal solution. The tissue conjugated well with my antibody (Keratin 5). But I could not stain them with DAPI. I tried different company's DAPI. I even stained them without antibody incubation. None of them worked!
Has anyone met the similar problem? It is really wierd and I am longing to figure out the reason!! Thank you!
