Palindrome Checking Utility

The Palindrome Checking Utility is an online program that checks how close a given DNA sequence is to being a palindrome, in the biological sense. A palindrome here means that the complementary string (complementary strand) is the same as the original string, when read from the opposite direction.

The program checks the input DNA sequence versus its complementary string, running several tests for different shift values (reading frames). The results are displayed in a table, sorted by palindromic fit.
