Thawed Fresh Frozen Plasma as ABY screen control

I am trying to gain information regarding the benefit of using thawed fresh frozen plasma as a control for an antibody screening assay. Can anyone provide insight on the appropriate expiration date of the plasma once thawed and the benefit of using it versus a fresh sample. Notably if the expiration of a sample used for controls is 7 days from the date of collection and no specific manufacturer's criteria exists that prohibits the use of one or the other? Thanks.
