PuraMatrix Synthetic Matrix substitute for Matrigel/Collagen/Fibronectin?

Has anyone worked with BD PuraMatrix to culture stem and progenitor cells? It seems to be an ideal replacement for Matrigel, collagen, fbronectin, laminin and other ECMs, but I wonder about its handling properties.
It seems to serve as a the scaffold in structure only, without the cell signaling and growth factor inconsistency of the animal-derived ECMs. Can it really create superior cell microenvironments? Becton Dickinson seems to be out of stock worldwide and they say demand has been greater than expected. There seem to be a wealth of papers on these materials, but few citing BD PuraMatrix, so it must be a new commercial product. I would also be interested in PuraMatrix experience in angiogenesis and cell migration assays. Any firsthand feedback would be welcome. Cheers, T
