protein elution from gel

i want to elute proteins from electrophoretic gel either SDS-PAGE or native. can anyone give me instruction and procedure how i do this. KIndle explain in detal and also give any reference.

there is a complete protocol listed at [donatello.ucsf.edu] for an in-gel digest of protein. references for the protocol are listed at the bottom.
