    protein extraction

    I am working on seed and plants protein. I am following a procedur for seeds but for plants for the same proteins there is no procedure. in that seeds are grinded and extraction is in buffer. for plant material whats will be best, either to freez drying the plant material or nitrogen freezing.
    or if i extarct from the plant material in the buffer directly. the proteins are not enzymes but that are defensive proteins

    Zan : Try with this reference: Proteomics 2004,4,2522-2532 A critical evaluation of sample extraccion techniques for enhanced proteomic analysis of recalcitrant plant tissues.this paper discuss tree diferent ways to extract proteins for 2d-electrophoresis.
