    protein purification from acrylamide gel

    Hi, I need to purify a protein band from a SDS-PAGE and then elute it to run a Western blot. Does anybody have a protocol to extract proteins from SDS-PAGE?

    I want to recover a protein band from a SDS-PAGE and then use the eluted sample for a Western Blot. I want to know that I cut the right part of the gel before sending it for Mass Spec identification.

    A good protocol, cut the gel fragment of interest, electro elut by inserting gel into a GeBAflex-tube & buffer, see protocol details at www.geba.org Go to protein polyacrylamide gel extraction, at bottom of page you will find full detailed protocol,
