    Sialosides on RBCs

I have been searching the literature for weeks now and cannot seem to find an answer to my search. Is anyone familiar with species differences on the glycosidic linkages of sialosides on RBCs? I am particularly interested in alpha2,3 vs. alpha2,6 linkages on the RBCs of chicken, turkey, guinea pig, horse and human erythrocytes. If both types are present in a given species' RBCs, is there an equal distribution or does one predominate? If possible, please cite any literature to support you comments.

    Thanks in advance.
