    protein TRIZOL

I'm working with very small amount of tissue and I need to recover beside rna also proteins. I could obtain rna and dna using trizol reagent (Invitrogene), but when I proceed with the protocol the yield of protein is really low. Furthermore I didn't try to western blot them but they don't look like well. Somebody knows if there is a method to extract the proteins from TRIZOL solution (columns or something like this where I could pour the trizol solution):
    Thanks

We were also working with a very small amount of tissue. I extracted the proteins from the Trizol solution by finishing the procedure. You are right the protein concentration was very low and would not have permitted us to go directly to western blotting. I had to concentrate the protein using spin columns from Millipore. This got the protein easily into the range of about 1mg/ml based on BCA assay (pierce) and absorbance at 280nm. I don't know if this helps, but you may just try concentrating the protein.
