Couldn't get this to work on my Mac using Safari or Firefox. Only a couple of the features I'd added appeared on the picture and some of the text that did appear overlapped with other text. Don't know if I'm doing anything wrong or it's a Mac problem? Rating: n/a

savvy is good...you need to export the text like mentioned above. I was able to open it in adobe illustrator...then convert to a pdf, which I could then copy and paste into word/powerpoint. Rating: Very Good

Keywords: Draw Plasmid or Plasmid Draw or Create Plasmid or Drawing Plasmid or Plasmid Drawing Software
FREE online Plasmid drawing software, PlasMapper v2.0 (wishart.biology.ualberta.ca/PlasMapper/).
It is amazing. Input your plasmid sequence, by paste, upload or download from their collection, select the features you want and click "Graphic map". Wallah ! You get the plasmid image in a new browser. It annotates the plasmid automatically !! To annotate your gene just use "User defined features". Not happy with the plasmid ? Change features and click "Graphic map" again, it will redraw the plasmid. As many times as you want !! To save the image, right-click on it and select "Save picture as". Hope this was useful.

For those of you still wondering how to save the image:
Copy the source of the displayed image (go to your webbrowser's view-source menu item, select all, copy), paste it into a text editor (e.g. notepad), and save the file with the .svg extension (instead of .txt).
The image is in the scalable vector graphics format -- a vector graphics format. To get it to display in a word or powerpoint file, you'll need to find a program that can convert the svg file to a jpg or something else that those programs can handle. Rating: Excellent!
