Heteroduplex and SSCP Analysis

Heteroduplex and SSCP Analysis (archive)

In heteroduplex analysis, the conformational properties of the double stranded molecules are used to distinguish different base pairing (i.e. mutations), based on the differing mobilities.
Single Stranded Conformational Polymorphism (SSCP) refers to the differing migration properties of single stranded molecules affected by variations in base sequence (from Serva electrophoresis).
