siRNA transfection

siRNA transfection

Some protocols and overviews on siRNA transfection:

Stable Transfection of Mammalian Cells with siRNA expression vectors (Ambion)

Vector based siRNA transfection (Genescript)

Stable suppression of gene expression by RNAi in mammalian cells with long siRNA (PNAS 2002 paper)

Conditional siRNA vector stable transfection (Nucleic Acids Res. 2003)
This paper shows that the controlled knockdown of DNA methyltransferase 1 (DNMT1) in human cancer resulted in growth arrest. Removal of the inducer, doxycycline, from treated cells led to re-expression of the targeted gene. Thus the method allows for a highly controlled approach to gene knockdown.
