Drosophila Schneider 2 cell line grows very quickly and is easily maintained. Cells double about every 24 hours. They are grown in Schneider’s media supplemented with fetal calf serum and antibiotics and maintained at 25 oC or lower. Stocks
will be grown in T75 flasks and will be split about every 3 days.
