Cytokine assays

Cytokine assays

Commonly used cytokine assays to detect and quantify cytokine from different samples:

1. Cytokine ELISA assay: ELISA is the most commonly used accurate and sensitive method for detection and quantification of cytokines.

2. Cytokine arrays: Cytokine array can be used for simultaneous detection of multiple cytokine expression in array format of sanwitch ELISA assay.

3. Flow cytometry combining intracellular cytokine staining.

4. Cytokine mRNA quantification techniques including real-time PCR, RNase protection assay etc.

5. Electrochemiluminescence assays using magnetic beads linked with cytokine antibody for cytokine detection.
