Content: SDS Polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (sodium dodecyl sulfate polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis) uses polyacrylamide gels that are formed from polymerization of acrylamide and bis (N,N-methylene-bis-acrylamide) initiated by ammonium persulfate and TEMED. The pore size of the polyacrylamide gel (determines its molecule separation power), is determined by %T (total amount of acrylamide) and %C (cross-linker bis).

Several vendors are providing ready-gel for convenient use with common electrophoresis apparatus.
