Abstract:
Promega's WizardTM Minipreps DNA Purification System was used to isolate mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) from small (50-200mg) or large (10-18g) tissue samples. mtDNA purified with the Wizard System was essentially free of contaminating nuclear DNA and was used to generate sequencing data suitable for phylogenetic analysis.
