| This book could not be tracked and I did not received the book quickly
The pictures in the book are not only in color, but are realistic. While pictures can not substitute for the real thing these pictures are as close as you get get to perfection. I would recommend this book to anyone who needs to learn human bones and/or muscles. The only thing the book lacked was a full description of articulations.
i got it for a very less price and a very useful book, good pictures and good quality. |

| Textbook has awesome pcitures. I think it would be better if the book came with detailed notecards instead of a cd. So that you can study for exams. |

| There's good and not so good in this book. The good is, it is very comprehensive, well organized, and authoritatively written. The bad news is, many of the concepts are complicated and difficult to follow. The writer assumes you understand many things because he doesn't bother to verbalize them very well. This is typical of an academian in my experience. Academian's like to throw something out there and wait for you to ask them what they mean. Unfortunately, that approach does not work so well in a book. To his credit, if you dwell on the ideas long enough they eventually do sink in and approach brilliance. So understanding this book is like understanding art. It takes a while to digest. That said, I recommend the book and be prepared to have your head expanded. This book turns over every stone in the quest to better understand drawing.
<br />As an example here is a random passage I picked describing "Location and Proximity". "The relational energies of location and proximity are produced by the association of like or unlike elements according to their position on the picture plane or in a field of depth." You see what I mean? You gotta love it. |

| obviously this book is not for everyone, but for those interested in anatomy art, the illustrations are amazing
This is a very good overview of anatomy in art. Great reproductions. It has proven a very good source for images, and the writing is astute and informative. |

| I am not happy to report that we never received the book we ordered. We ordered the book on August 4, 2007 and told shipment would arrive by August 24th. On August 24th, we wrote in that we had not received the book. We never received a response from Amazon. On August 26th a duplicate of the book had to be purchased from the University Bookstore as the school term had begun and we were still without the needed book. The only positive thing I can say is that after submitting a claim on the purchased book, our money was promptly returned.
I was pleased with the arrival time of this book and the quality of material that arrived. Thanks |

| This book is fantastic. I learned a lot from it and the organization of the material was great. It even offers "Checkpoints" for focus on what you just read, and the answers for the "Critical Thinking" questions and "Self-quizzes" are in the back of the book. These questions are so helpful...my instructor actually used several like them on our exams. My only gripe with this text is that a few of the answers to the Self-Quizzes are incorrect. But if you've done your work, you'll be able to tell the answer doesn't jive. Hopefully in the next edition they'll do more meticulous editing on that. But they give you the usual A&P stuff, and then apply it to real-life diagnoses & situations.
Required material for some massage students, this book is a great deal, saving nearly 40-50% off what you'd pay at the student book store or anywhere else for that matter. Has excellent diagrams and explanations to help through a/p.
This text book is very informative and easy to understand. We bought this and the Intro to the Human Body Study Guide. It comes with an interactive CD which enhances the curriculum. |

| I just got my cd's today and I am taking Anatomy and Physiology this semester. I downloaded this to my IPOD and I lOVE IT. It's covering everything that I am currently reading and yet to read. The speech is perfect and I understand the women talking perfectly. It's like me reading the actual book instead I can sit at my full time job and listen to this just as I would listen to MUSIC all day. Someone suggested I look for audio cd's of this kind and I thanked them a million times for the suggestion and now I AM THANKING DAVID G. GANTT for making an audio cd. THIS IS A GREAT STUDY AID ! I recommend this 100%. I read in a review that the speed was too fast I totally disagree if you are taking a class and using this audio cd at the same time it all makes sense.
I found the Biology on CD a very wise purchase to help with my current anatomy class. I bring it with me in the car and listen to it at home while getting ready for the day. The narrators voices are pleasant and easy to understand. I am very pleased with this product.
The CD's are of good sound quality. They use 2 female speakers whom alternate between one another presenting anatomy and physiology concepts, principles etc. These recordings are certainly not for beginning students and one must possess a vast vocabulary in A&P to even understand. They speak very quick and are onto other systems/topics before you had a chance to blink or comprehend some of their verbal utterances. The CD's are the equivalent of spead reading where you will be speed listening. I find myself rewinding/repeating the tracks several times to retain the information as you are only able to grasp small pieces of info at a time. Hope this was helpful. Recommend for advance students, graduate and medical but would have to give thumbs down for undergrad students or others just trying to pick up some A&P concepts. |
