	Yeast Physiology and Biotechnology

Walker ISBN: 0471964468 Publisher: Wiley Release Date: 01 April, 1998 Bioscience book rank: 1195897	I found this introduction to yeast physiology and biotechnology to be well written and enjoyable to read. That being said, I gave it only 2 stars because the price is absolutely ridiculous. The coverage of most topics is rather superficial (not always a bad thing in an overview-type text, but inexcusable in light of the exorbitant cost of this boook), and the material is rather dated (this being a paperback edition from 1998). I'd definitely recommend that those interested in yeast research check out a copy from a library, or buy it if you can find a used copy for around 25% of the new price, but otherwise it is just not worth it.
