i was happy with the quality of the book, would have loved a better price but it is a very big book so i understand the cost. Came in expected time. Good service.

I received exactly the book I ordered in a very timely fashion. I was quite pleased.

this is really a good book, good pictures and good text with
updated biomedical knowledge. Excellent and concise summary
at the end of each chapter made the book even more lovely!
Also it provided good application examples in terms of integreting the theory and practice. I decided to keep one at
hand after I read it. The one that I ordered is the hard-covered 17th version, 1106 pages.Just Excellent!

So often you have to drag yourself to the book when studying Anatomy. This one is so well written and illustrated; it is actually fun to read. Not too much detail to get lost, but certainly enough to cover all the main points. If you want to dig down into further detail on anything, I recommend "Atlas of Human Anatomy" by Frank H. Netter, MD.
The pictures are what I found most intriguing about this text.
The anatomy & physiology topics were also critical in my studies. This book ranks high with:
(Human Antatony & physiology) by Elaine N. Marieh. This text gave a lot of information from another perspective.

(KEY FACTS FOR ANATOMY & PHYSIOLOGY) by Patrick Leonardi. This was right to the point. Less complex to read. Extremely helpful to study for exams.

I purchased this book for an online course. Each new subject that the author would talk about would be scattered throughout the chapter instead of being in the near paragraphs to follow. I found myself shifting from one page to many pages away just to piece together what the subject was about. I found it to be unorganized. The book was very dry and could have been worded better. By the way the software it comes with is not all that. It's just a review with cheap graphics. Please by this book used, it's not worth your full dollar (even if it doesn't come with the CD's, there are web sites that can coach you with some pre-tests-provided by the book)

This book covers the basics of Anatomy and Physiology for a student getting started. It is structured well, and is easy to skim through and find answers if you're looking for a specific question. Also, it's not so dry as some textbooks, so you don't fall asleep so easily while studying!
The best thing about this book is the CD Rom study guide. The study guide has an overview of the book, with pictures and video clips of computer animated sequences of cell function, muscle function, and many other things. It also has activities in which you click and drag answers for study sheets. At the end of each section there is a quiz, with randomly selected questions from the study material, and at the end of a chapter a unit exam. This helped me tremendously in preparing for tests. You can test yourself several times with differing tests(since the questions are random)and so be more prepared for your exams in class.
