	By: David Drakard ISBN: 1851493948 Publisher: Antique Collectors Club Dist A/C Release Date: 25 January, 2007 Bioscience book rank: 1587915	The scope of the book is narrow, but that's already known by the title. <br />Despite this, there are some excellent generalised chapters on the mechanics of early transfer printing processes, with photographs. <br />One of the authors did the bat-printing process himself, all photographed, in order to revive that lost art for this book. <br />Hundreds of patterns, part patterns, borders and shapes are illustrated, to help identify those Spode pieces that were made before the Copelands appeared. <br />Students of early transferware in general, and of 'pre-Copeland' Spode in particular, will find this a satisfying, even fascinating book, written by two men who really know their stuff.

Because of its clarity and the visual reinforcement of simple charts, I have given multiple copies of this book away to friends and loved ones. To me, it makes a "cerebral" subject very compelling reading. <br /> <br />It first sets forth the case for our need of immune system strengthening in this 21st century. It then covers the history of the discovery of transfer factors, what they are, why they are vitally & profoundly important to our immune health, and what medical conditions can benefit from immune boosting and/or modulation. The author finishes by summarizing some of the non-toxic herbal compounds which can enhance transfer factors for an immune impact far beyond anything we've seen before. <br /> <br />It concludes with a glossary and 5 pages of transfer factor research references, showing at least the tip of the iceberg on the research behind transfer factors up until the time of this writing in 2001.
