| This is one thriller that really "thrills" the reader; I am saying this as an avid reader of thriller, action and spy books. I have read books from authors such as Robert Ludlum, Tom Clancy, Michael Crichton, La Carre, Len Deighton, and more, and this book, in my sincere (and rather still excited view) is a book that is no less than those. I particularly endorse the previous reviewer's opinion as he suggests that Berlin Protocol has a "Ludlum-esque" style. I, too, have found the book quite graphical in narration of the action scenes. Character portrayals are believable and consistent with whom they are all along the book, and right on the spot. Apart from the main character of the book, who is an ex-CIA agent, I am particularly impressed with the portrayal of the MOSSAD agent Nina and her rather (I should not give spoilers here...) definitive and forceful involvement in the story. Brilliant character; but no less than the other female character Kristen, a German spy. In addition to that, I cannot pass without saying that there are also some rather steamy (yet beautifully put) scenes which blend very nicely with the sizzling love-story that develops behind the (nerve-shaking) bloody events. A very good read for those who enjoy being thrilled.
It is too bad that the book is not currently available in the USA at the time of these words written,(on sale in England and Europe.) But, when I was in England, I saw very good reviews (on amazon.co.uk and other media) which I believe reflect the book rightly. As one of which puts:"I am in my late thirties (OK, forty next week) and I've read some considerable number of thrillers over the time and I can say that this is probably the first book for quite a long time that made me sorry that it ended. I am a fan of thrillers, particularly spy/action thrillers, and therefore I know that the fans of this genre would understand what I meant when I said that the Berlin Protocol has a "Robert Ludlum-esque" style. There are thick layers of intrigue and action, which are put down with easy, fluent writing. I found the characters gripping (sort of characters that you would like to see pop-up again in sequels). The book is moody, sultry (in parts), mostly quite bloody and graphic (particularly in gunfights) and overall very intriguing with harsh twists. So, with good conscience on my part, I can recommend it to fellow thriller readers. -as written by J. Hesseltine in England." I couldn't put it better, with all my respect to the author of these words, I certainly agree. |

| I was extremely happy with Mr. Miller's coverage of the IPv6 subject matter.
This is a very dense subject, but a very important one.
From all of the books on this topic, this one was very self-explanatory and provided clear details about each matter.
Very helpful text and it is extremely well written! |
