I also learned a great number of things about how the body functions and reacts to different things. This is a large book that will help her in her studys of the body. This book is great. My husband had surgery and this book really helped me explain to the kids what was going to happen. It was also great being able to see the terms that doctors use...I knew the basics but did no have a good visual picture in my head. This book gives you that picture in clear easy to read heavy duty pages. I highly recommend this book.

I rate it as 4 and not 5 as there are several words (such as electropalatography) that are not in the dictionary but should be. As a speech pathology student, I found this dictionary to be a great academic and professional investment. I found it helpful for every aspect from writing clinical reports to studying for an exam. The illustrations were also terrific (those taking anatomy know what I mean). A Communication Disorder student's must have!
