| Clear pictures, clear labels, just about everything you would want to know is in this book. Or so Ive found. Only downside is no test to explain certain things.
This book is amazing. I've only been through some of the sections, but the pictures are so detailed that it takes time to observe each one in its entirety. My boyfriend and I are both pre-med and at first I thought I would buy a book for our entertainment only, but after I read many reviews of med students saying they used this book, I realized how important it would be to get this sooner rather than wait. Even if you are only interested in anatomy, this book has over 500 detailed, labeled pictures. Netter was a medical and artistic genius who meticulously drew and labeled each picture fully. This is a must have for those thinking about med school.
I bought Clemente Anatomy before this...i stopped using Clemente as soon as this one arrived. it's great for radiology and i'm sure for surgical residents as well. |

| I used this book for two semesters of college (A&P I and II). It is thorough in its explanations and gives you a clear understanding of all of the subject matter. It has great illustrations and the chapters are broken up well. It has question and answer sections at the end of each chapter that aid in learning. My professors where both well known from Wash. U and the course was quite difficult but, I recieved A's (and I am no rocket scientist). I had the 6th edition but I have worked out of the 7th, both are sufficient. ENJOY!
Anatomy & Physiology was really difficult for me... but with this book and the study guide (which wasn't used at my school but I got on my own) made a HUGE difference in learning the information. The book made the subject interesting and you wanted to learn more. It had helpful tips and analogies for remembering key points. I like the book alot and was able to pull off a "B" which for me was wonderful. The study guide is a helpful tool that I think is a "must have" to go with this book if science is a challenging subject for people.[[ASIN:0805373055 Human Anatomy & Physiology (Study Guide)]]
This book is part of my massge therapy curriculum and has been my best tool yet.
If there's something I am not getting from the lecture or something I want some more detail on, this book has got it and has got all the juice on it.
I feel this book would be a valiable reference for anyone in the medical feild. |

| This is a must have book for anyone in Gross Anatomy. The actual pictures of the dissections are amazing and definitely help you get ready for lab practicals.
I often use this book along with my Netter. This is great because you are able to see the cadaver without the freaky smell and to study even in your own bedroom!. Upon alot of times of reading and comparing it to my Netter's, I found out that even Rohen had the reputation for its remarkable photographs of a real cadaver for years- it sometimes is lacking on labels for some parts, though you can see it. However, if this is the problem, you can use this along with your Netter's Atlas to see the missing part you did'nt saw with Rohen.
This atlas is the absolute best I have found. I am currently in an Anatomy Lab that has limited time with the cadavers. This atlas has extraordinary pictures of all aspects of dissections. Whether you are working with the brachial plexus, cranial nerves, thoracic arteries, or any other system for that matter, the atlas covers the dissection and has complete pictures real cadavers much easier to learn from and identify on real cadavers than studying from simple diagrams! |

| This book was very helpful for my 4000 level Neuro class that I had to take. It took me back to the simple basics that I somehow never had or forgot and built from there, showing how the basic developed into the more complex structures. The simple explainations for different structures also includes functions which I need as a Psyc. major. No coronal views are included, but the other views are very helpful. Grab your colored pencils & have fun!
If you loved your third grade art class, you'll love this brain coloring book. The truth is we learn by doing, using our hands, applying colors. Many areas of the brain are involved in what we think of as simple learning tasks. Adding manual tasks to learning the complicated anatomy of the brain strengthens the learning process - forces you to linger over the page and get involved in learning the structures.

I feel the text on each facing page is quite useful but could have been a little more detailed on the clinical end. You will come out of the 'coloring book' experience with far greater confidence in your understanding of neuroanatomy than you expected. You may find reading on neuropsychology a good deal easier, now that you have, in effect, overstudied the anatomy and physiiology underlying it.

For those who want to go beyond this text to a really superior text in this subject, I highly recommend Clinical Neuroanatomy by FitzGerald and Fokan-Curran published by W. B. Saunders. It is already marvelously colored and illustrated with much greater detail and clinical information. It is an exceptional medical text (and priced accordingly). The medical illustration, scans, photos and other teaching aids are excellent and profuse. The coloring book is just a sort of 'boot camp' to prepare you for this. I have not seen a better text on neuroanatomy. If you are seriously in need of learning or reviewing your knowledge of this subject, this is the one.

ADDENDA: I have just read Pinel's other excellent work called BIOPSYCHOLOGY. Illustrated by his partner (sic) Maggie - superbly and contributing greatly to the success of the book as a great teaching medium in neuropsychology and neurology. It is a textbook for undergraduates in Psychology and assumes little in previous physiology and anatomy, using extensive explanations of vocabulary and concepts. Frankly, you might as well buy this one instead of the coloring book. It will cost more but you will get a lot more out of it along with the same high quality of illustrations necessary to understand this challenging subject. John Pinel has an engaging writing style, some surprising personal anecdotes, and many case histories. I highly recomment BIOPSYCHOLOGY.
This is a must for anyone interested in learning about the anatomy of the human brain.

It is also essential for anyone studying physiological and / or biopsychology. |

| This atlas offers you the complete body parts. You will never miss even just a single detail of the part you are looking or studying at. This is the best to use together along with Rohen and to compare with the real human structures for better understanding. Because real bodies are far more hard to understand compared to that of idealized drawings.
This book is a fantastic supplement to my studies! I highly recommend getting it to anyone in the health care industry. The hard cover is great because it looks more professional and is more durable. It's worth the extra money...either way, Netter's is a must have!
This book is excellent. The Netter drawings are the Gold standard. They give a complete anatomical picture of the body with musculature, nerves and organ systems. |

| I used this book for an introductory course in Anatomy at BYU. The text was good and very useful. However, I used it mostly to study for my lab and it was very helpful in that it had really good pictures and labels for help in lab. I wouldn't ever want to sell this one back, you can refer to it for your entire life.
This book is exactly what I wanted and it is in perfect condition. I recieved it in a good amount of time. Thank you!!
This book is well organized and user friendly. It's a good BASIC anatomy text with more simplified, easy-to-follow explanations and great illustrations. |

| Thank you, I recieved my book quick and in excellent conditions with any extras that came with it.
i didn't like the lab manual too much.. but anyone who is trying to buy this.. LOOK UP THE 8th ED.!! almost the same thing for less

I got the book in 3 business days in brand new condition, thank you. The only thing that I have noticed after getting my purchase and comparing it to my other class mate's books that the human skeleton atlas was missing. But that's OK, now. Otherwise as always, Amazon delivers! |

| Got this book for a college level human anatomy course. Compared with other similar level anatomy books this one ranks high. Generally easy to read and interesting enough to keep one reading. Overall its an anatomy book and as such it should provide a good overview of human anatomy with just enough physiology to keep one interested in the material and provide a greater insight into what it is your learning, thereby helping to keep the material relevant and easy to recall. And as such this book meets expectations.
The book was lost in the mail. I, however, received a full refund on my purchase. I did receive the atlas that went with it.
I have the new 5th edition. As a nursing student this text has been extremely easy to read and understand the concepts. It keeps you interested in the information with practical examples and lively dialogue and includes helpful memory tips. It also comes with a cd-rom and access to a web site that really help you study and review the material. My only complaint is the chemistry chapter (Chpt. 2) is a little long and dry but then that is probably due to the subject matter and not the author. I would highly recommend it to anyone! |

| i got it for my wife, because she is going to nursing school and the textbook is required for one of her courses.
The book arrived in good condition! Amazon service was very fast. I would use amazon service again.
The book arrived just when I needed it to infact a little before. It was in great condition and it still had the code so that I would be able to access the book's online website! |
