	By: Klaus D. Elgert ISBN: 0471116807 Publisher: Wiley-Liss Release Date: 15 January, 1996 Bioscience book rank: 1328041	Just a quick note: Dr. Elgert's text is 10 years old.. 10! That's before the human genome came out, and what's more, the book is hopelessly outdated on a number of points. First of all, a lot of good science has been put out in the 10 years since its publication. Second, his illustrations look like their were made in MSPaint (and they very well may have been). Moreover, he reprinted his old edition at some point, but in black and white, and on rough, heavier paper. Buyer beware - the cover is identical. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />LUCKILY.. if you don't go to Virginia Tech, I'm sure you're not in danger of exposure to this opaque anachronism of a textbook... It's very good textbook, easy to read and understand. I'm waiting for the new and up-to-date edition from the author, if possible.
