That book did not reach me and I sent a message to seller about it; but I did not get a reply until now.

This is the worst book of the series and is a waste of time. Pharmacology cannot be taught by clinical vignettes and the author himself recognizes this. In the book review section of First Aid, Dr. Bhushan admits that it is not an ideal review source. The problem is that within two lines of the clinical vignette, the drug is revealed, so there is no chance to guess the answer. There are less time consuming ways to learn the side effects of drugs.

Loved the unknown case format. Classic and atypical presentations of high-yield psychiatry diagnoses are reviewed. Answers cover important info and give you a feel for differential diagnoses and how to distinguish among similar conditions (e.g., schizophreniform, schizophrenia, schizoid and schizotypal disorders). Quick read written in easy-to-understand language, with terms explained well. Definitely recommend!

I don't like psychiatry, but I didn't want to miss any easy points on the exam, so I wanted a quick review of the topic. I used this book in conjunction with First Aid and got all the info I needed to do well on the psych questions on the boards. Cases are presented as unknown in a format similar to my exam. Great explanations cover all related info including differential diagnosis pearls and other high-yield info.

This book has a lot of important information that anyone taking the USLME should know. It has pretty good questions and answers and I like how the book explains the various USMLE topics. It's much easier reading through this book then some long textbooks. However, I also used the following which is also available on amazon.com:
Microbiology Study Guide: Key Review Questions and Answers by Patrick Leonardi
This questions were on target with the type of questions asked on the microbiology section of the boards. Get both books.

I have just passed Step 1 and I do believe that this book helped me to get a good score. Despite the fact that the questions in this book do not mimic the exam's questions they highlight many details, which may be missed even in good review books. If you use only one book to study one subject, you will definitely miss some important facts. To cover those facts I did the following. First, I studied the subject using the main review book and answered questions in it. Than I answered questions in this book and always found missed important details, which were not mentioned in my main textbooks but were covered here. In other words, I would advise to read this book before the exam.

This review book is not up to date, specifically the questions are in a format nowhere near USMLE's exam. Memorize the newest edition of First Aid.
