| This book is readable and concise. Physiology and pathophysiology are applied to each case study. However, the chest X-ray findings are not reproduced well in the figures.
Again, harmless review. Only when you know what is truly normal, can you understand the abnormal.
<br />I'm still clueless though...
This is really a lovely book for clearing up concepts in pulmonary physiology. Dr West, one of the globally famous physiology author, integrated pulmonary pathology with the underlining physiology in this thin book. He tried to help students understand what goes wrong in numerous common lung and airway problems with the interesting cases he presented. As he pointed out in the preface, he intended to make this book as concise as possible in order to fit the modern cirriculum by sparing more time for students to deal with the expanding syllabus in molecular science!! |

| This is the absolute worst experience I've ever had at ordering anything on-line! I ordered my book on Jan 3rd it is now Feb 1st and I still have not received my book and I'm done with my third week of school. I've also been given the run around several times, computer was broken, put wrong address and it came back, etc.....
Very BAD writings, It's very hard to understand for those non-biology majored readers. You can read thousand times and still have no idea! Negative six-star rating!!!
This book was in excellent condition and it came with the cd. It wasn't expensive and I really loved the fact that my book was here within one week. |

| There is one major error in the text. Page 101 is wrong. I emailed the publishers but got no response. Be careful with some of the figures. Other than that, the book is great!
This text has, for the past 10 years, been the best and most prestigious of introductory books in our field. It is a fine lead-in for students wondering how speech is constructed. A follow-on for the more advanced student is my "Acoustics of Speech Communication: Fundamentals, Speech Perception Theory and Technology" 1999, Allyn and Bacon. J.M. Pickett |

| This is an excellent textbook for first year nursing, allied health, or biology students in college. The material is organized and well-written; concepts are so easy to follow and understand. Very little, if any, background knowledge is required to follow the concepts in each chapter. Overall, an excellent textbook for learning the complexities of the human body, and it will also provide any student with a solid foundation in anatomy & physiology for graduate studies. Marvelous book!
This is a course book and has what I needed for the course, I really like the full color plates in it for study. It was in excellent condition when I received it. Thank you |

| GREAT THAT I GOT THIS MANUAL, GOOD FOR TWO SEMESTERS AT A QUARTER OF WHAT THE BOOKSTORE WANTED. AWESOME SHIPPING TIME.
I purchased this book new as a class requirement. It serves its purpose for the class, but I wouldn't recommend purchasing it without a companion book to help with the physiology explanations. The unit exercises are decent for learning anatomy. Amazon offered the best price for 2 day shipping. I would not recommend buying it used unless the seller clearly indicates that there is no/minimal writing in it.
This is an excellent book to have it follows the Tortora texbook. It comes with a password. Excellent for chapter review. Questions, charts, on-line tests, etc. Great book even if it's not required. I would recommend purchasing it anyway for your class. |

| This is a must have for the A and P section of the test. I used this and passed with 4 high markings out of 6 as a result. I also bought the other guide like this. The other guide went over assesment and application.
I only ordered volume 1 of this set of 3. I felt that this area is where I needed to review the most. The book is a little less than 1000 questions and answers. I felt that it was extremely helpful and I would recommend it to anyone taking this exam. I passed on the high end of 4 out of the 6 sections of the exam! I wasn't sure at first about purchasing because of the amount but I took a chance and now feel that it was well worth it.
951 questions and answers!! This book was essential to my passing the NCBTMB the first time. I learned a great deal from this book and well as from Volumes 2 and 3. I was surprised at the number of test questions about Traditional Chinese Medicine. This book provides a great deal of information on that topic. |
