| I found the text a must-buy for my microbiology class. Without it I would have been lost. The parasites, viruses and bacteria were described with utmost clarity. Microbiology Study Guide by Patrick Leonardi had great test questions to study from. I also used Microbiology Made Ridciously Simple as a reference. |

| I found the the book in a very good shape. I'm very much satisfied.
I used this book for one of my favorite classes in college on biotechnology. It will show you the cool side of science and all of the neat things you can do with biology and DNA. The level is low enough to where you only need a minimal background to understand it, basic biology classes and preferably genetics. After completing the book you should be excited about the future of biotech, and you will have some understanding about how it works.
To those who are interested in the functional aspects of the DNA this is the right introductory stuff. It covers areas including basic molecular biology to commercial methods for manipulating the genes. Pretty useful for someone who's more interested in the technology than the biology! |

| This book is both fascinating and broad enough to be reliable as a reference. Can be picked up and flicked through or read topically. Rivals Madigan et al. Excellent illustrations and on the right level for undergrads.
My professor intended this book to be a reference for the microbiology course he taught. I personally found the book to be so interesting and well done that I just dived right into it, and still find more new things each time I crack it open. As a dual Biochemistry and Microbiology major, this book is going on my reference shelf. |
